how to delete alerts in SharePoint 2010

How to delete alerts in SharePoint 2010


Sometimes when you no longer need to be on top of the changes then in that case, delete the SharePoint alert.

See how you can manage your inbox (and sanity) by ridding yourself of alerts you no longer need.
  1. In Library Tools, Click Alert Me
  2. Click Manage My Alerts
  3. Click the name of the alert you want deleted
  4. Click Delete
  5. You will now no longer receive the deleted alert
